Bangladesh Railway (BR) will start selling advance train tickets from April 23 -- ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr.
The decision was taken at a meeting in Rail Bhaban today with Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan in the chair.
Advance tickets for April 27 will be sold on April 23 while the tickets for April 28, 29, 30 and May 1 will be sold on April 24, 25, 26, and 27 respectively, meeting participants said.
Fifty percent tickets would be sold from counters and the rest online, they said.
Railways Minister will brief media over the developments on Wednesday.
